Swim Day

Today was another special day for Kole; we invited cousins Keith and Alex and our sweet Gran down to swim at the Brownfield Family Aquatics Center. We were excited to share this great place with our family! We had a great time sliding down the water slide, gliding on the lazy river, and diving off the diving board. Kole did a great job of exercising caution since his last visit to the BFAC. This time, there was no need for a lifeguard to retrieve him from the water!! (Last time was an attempted flip of the diving board that turned into a big belly flop that knocked the wind out of him.) In the end, it was a really happy day for us all, and no one even fussed when it was time to go! (I think they were hungry.) We're already looking forward to our next opportunity to visit the BFAC - great place!

Final Attempt at Getting the Fishing Pictures Right!

As you've undoubtedly noticed, I've been tinkering with different photo formats from different websites for the past couple of days. I've been excited to find all the cool things I can do with my pictures, but then disappointed that after I do said things, the file is too big to upload. I think I've finally landed on a good format, so here goes nothing! To see a larger version of the collage, just click on it anywhere.

At the risk of being repetitive, these are pictures that I took while on a fishing adventure with my son, Kole. We are excited to have a week to just focus on him, our middle child. A week alone with his parents doesn't happen often for the middle one. It sort of works out that he doesn't really like to be gone from home very long and his siblings do. It gives us this unique opportunity. Well, that, and my parents are nuts enough about all my kiddos to facilitate the whole thing! This is the second time Kole and I have had a whole week to enjoy just each other and we are both loving it.
